Board Chair Maureen Sattan led the Suffield Board of Education in its annual self-evaluation, during which members discussed strengths and identified opportunities to improve governance.
Board members suggested enhancing communication among members, improving the onboarding process for new board members, increasing efficiencies in board work, and updating select board bylaws. The minutes record these items as topics for future consideration; no formal bylaw changes were proposed or voted on at the meeting.
Sattan moved to adjourn and James Mol seconded; the board adjourned at 8:20 p.m. by unanimous vote. Minutes from the Aug. 11 meeting are subject to approval at the board's Sept. 2, 2025 meeting.
