Desmond McGill of Community Development explained the easement had been dedicated for a structure that was removed during site redevelopment and that affected agencies indicated no active facilities remain. Mark Nelson, representing Happy Auto Group (the applicant), requested the vacation to clear title for the redeveloped Hyundai dealership.
The council voted to approve the vacation petition (CD2026‑001V) on a motion by Council member Palmer and a second by Council member Doring.
Next steps: staff will record the resolution and proceed with necessary title and permitting steps to reflect the easement vacation.
