The member said the county clinic and local dental partners already do some dental outreach and recommended staff (Alyssa) review grant deliverables to determine suitability for seniors or other local programs.
Other local public-health topics Members also discussed food-safety training for volunteers and noted a state-level statutory change under consideration that would expand the age at which a child may be relinquished to a firefighter, hospital or clinic; the chair said current statute limits were not likely to apply to the county's clinics but flagged the proposal for awareness.
Next steps Staff were asked to follow up on Evidence Center fencing and to have the grant details reviewed for fit with existing local services. No formal action was taken at the meeting beyond directing staff to investigate and report back.
