Board approves consent agenda including personnel changes, overnight trips and Head Start budget

The Holly Area School District Board of Education approved its consent agenda during the Sept. 8 meeting, accepting minutes from the Aug. 11 regular meeting, the August 2025 treasurer's and financial reports, a personnel update that included new hires, resignations and a retirement, several overnight athletic trips, and the Head Start budget.
Mrs. Blair moved to accept the consent agenda; Dr. Cunningham supported the motion. The roll call was 7 Aye, 0 No and the motion carried.
Notable personnel items recorded in the public minutes included the hiring of Haley Barnes as assistant principal at Holly High School (effective July 1, 2025), multiple new teachers and paraprofessionals with effective dates in August 2025, and the retirement of Stephanie Elder, Broncho Virtual School director (effective July 31, 2025). Overnight trips approved included girls golf to the state finals (Oct. 16–18, 2025, Kalamazoo), varsity diving meets (Oct. 17–18 and Nov. 21–22, 2025) and cross country regional meet (Oct. 24–25, 2025). The Head Start budget was included on the consent agenda for approval.
