The board also approved the MS‑2‑32 appropriation report (the DRA report reflecting the budget voted at town meeting).
Members approved multiple clerical abatements and four abatements recommended by the assessor that reduced assessed values for specific properties because of sale prices, property‑card errors or physical‑condition issues. One standalone abatement request that had been denied by the assessor was pulled for further review earlier in the meeting; the board later voted to deny the abatement for Map 89 Lot 1261 (Thurley Road) as recommended by the assessor.
The board approved a tax warrant for Map 29 Lot 1 Sub 277 (110 Nichols Road) for $633 to initiate collection, and approved two veterans' tax credits (Map 224 Lot 4 and 9 Logan Way, Map 2 Lot 4) after assessor recommendation.
During public input resident Roy Barron raised concerns about assessment changes and whether he had time to file an abatement; the chair advised that April 1 is the abatement‑filing deadline.
The board indicated members may sign certain documents noncontemporaneously as permitted by statute and noted that some ceremonial motions are performed at meetings though signatures may be gathered outside a public session.
