Scotland Planning & Zoning Commission approves 2025 schedule, reuses officers' ballot and hears enforcement complaints

The Town of Scotland Planning & Zoning Commission met in special session on Nov. 25, 2024 at the Scotland Fire Department and handled routine business including approvals of minutes and scheduling.
Commissioner R. Brautigam moved to approve the minutes of the Oct. 28, 2024 meeting; D. George seconded and the motion carried, according to the minutes. The commission then approved the 2025 meeting schedule on a motion by R. Brautigam, seconded by M. Garrison, and also voted to put forward a single ballot with the same officers as the prior year on a motion by R. Brautigam, seconded by M. Garrison. The minutes record those motions as "motion carries" but do not provide a roll-call vote tally.
In the Administrative Reports portion of the meeting, Zoning Enforcement Officer I. Kisluk reported a new complaint concerning 489 Kemp and said she would follow up. She also noted there have been complaints about trucks on Kemp Road; Kisluk said she visited the location several times and did not observe the reported activity but will continue to investigate.
The commission had no old business to address, and sub-committee reports noted there will be no meeting in January 2025. Regulation revisions were tabled until the next meeting. R. Manning moved to adjourn at 7:19 p.m.; R. Brautigam seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes were signed/submitted by Sharon George.
