The Torrance Unified School District Board of Education voted to execute a conveyance allowing Southern California Edison to install and maintain anchors for overhead facilities near Lincoln Elementary.
The board opened a noticed public hearing on the proposed easement, heard no written comments and had no public speakers opposing the measure. Board president called for the motion to approve resolution AS‑02‑24/25; the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor.
The easement was presented as the implementation step following an earlier intent vote; staff told the board the resolution directs district staff to execute the documents necessary to convey the easement. Superintendent Tim Stowe (present in the meeting) and district staff answered procedural questions before the vote.
The board took the procedural vote and the president announced the motion passed. No member of the public registered opposition during the hearing and no conditions or amendments were recorded on the motion.
The district will now proceed with executing the documents to effect the conveyance to Southern California Edison. The board moved on to other items on the agenda.
