The Candia Selectmen approved multiple personnel items during their Sept. 22 meeting.
On a motion and second, the board appointed Adam Goetz as a temporary firefighter trainee effective Sept. 22; the motion passed by voice vote. The board later approved Marcos Neves as a temporary firefighter trainee with an effective date of Aug. 25, also by voice vote.
The board also voted to appoint Gary (last name read differently in the recording) to the Candia Conservation Commission after a brief discussion about alternates and whether more background information was available.
Separately, Speaker 2 formally nominated Chad Chavelin as the town’s candidate for Employee of the Year. The motion was seconded and board members praised Chavelin’s recent work organizing Old Home Day and other community efforts.
No contested votes or objections were recorded for these routine personnel items.
