Maywood approves Class 8 application, liquor-license amendments; trustee recuses from votes

Separately, Trustee A. Sanchez temporarily recused himself at 8:58 p.m. because of family ownership in liquor licenses. With Sanchez recused, the board approved three license-specific ordinance amendments: revisions to the Class F banquet-hall licenses for Mariella's Banquet Hall II (134 S. 5th Ave.) and Mariella's Banquet Hall (124 S. 5th Ave.) to authorize operation as limited restaurants and outdoor liquor cafes under subclass designations, and extended hours of operation for Lucky Bernie's Maywood LLC (614 S. 5th Ave.).
