The village board voted to award the professional-service agreement for planning neighborhood greenways and developing a traffic-calming program to Tool Design.
Trustee Ersing reported that a panel including trustees and committee members interviewed three firms and concluded that Tool Design’s proposal and local team were the strongest fit. A motion was made to award the professional-service agreement to Tool Design and was seconded; the board approved the award by voice vote.
Trustees said they were excited to work with a team familiar with the community and that the planning effort will inform future traffic-calming measures and neighborhood connections. The award follows a committee recommendation after a competitive selection process.
The scope includes planning neighborhood greenways and developing a traffic-calming program initiative; staff will proceed under the professional-services agreement and report back to the board as milestones are reached.
