Planning staff recommended forwarding the cleaned‑up code language to the trustees for adoption; the commission approved the recommendation on a roll‑call vote. Commissioners raised a few outstanding concerns — notably whether removing orphaned definitions such as ‘‘build‑to line’’ might remove useful guidance, and whether language describing ‘‘undeveloped’’ lots should be clarified to account for lots with existing utilities — and staff said those points would be addressed in subsequent amendments.
Staff said the draft included a blue/green/purple colored redline set that shows added and deleted text, and the clean copy was available in the packet. The amendment was intended to remove definitions that are not used anywhere else in the zoning code and to reduce conflicting language that had created confusion across prior hearings.
