Senate panel advances bill to tighten ban on out‑of‑state spirits shipments

He moved for adoption and yielded for questions; committee members did not pose substantive questions before staff opened the vote.
Staff conducted a roll call; the clerk read ayes and the presenter reported the result as nine yays and zero nays. The chair declared the bill passed and the committee adjourned.
The sponsor noted a possible fiscal impact and said fiscal staff are continuing to review the measure; no amendments or enforcement details beyond authorizing the attorney general were debated on the record.
