A message from Gov. Jared Polis naming three appointments to the Clean Transit Enterprise was read on the Senate floor on April 2, 2026, the Majority Leader said.
The message named Diane Barrett of Denver to serve with statewide transportation expertise, Chris Jones of Boulder to serve as an urban-area representative with transit expertise, and David Averill of Telluride to serve as a rural-area representative with transit expertise. The nominations carried terms expiring Sept. 28, 2029.
The Majority Leader read the governor's letter into the record, saying in part, “pursuant to the powers conferred upon me by the constitution and laws of the state of Colorado, I have the honor to designate, appoint, reappoint, and submit to your consideration the following members of the Clean Transit Enterprise for terms expiring 09/28/2029.” The presiding officer then announced referral to the Transportation and Energy committee.
The nominations will proceed through the committee process for consideration and any required confirmation steps.
