House adopts resolution honoring Wartburg College men's wrestling national champions

The House adopted House Resolution 115 congratulating Wartburg Colleges mens wrestling team on winning the 2026 NCAA Division III national championship.

The resolution, read on the floor by Representative Grassley, cites the Knightss title victory on March 14, 2026, at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids and notes the team finished with 110 points, 42 points ahead of the national runner-up. It also singles out freshman Cade Blum (141 pounds) and senior Casey Ross (184 pounds) as individual national champions and names head coach Eric Keller, who was recognized as the tournaments Coach of the Year. "This is a resolution recognizing and congratulating Wartburg College men's wrestling team on winning the 2026 NCAA Division III men's wrestling national championship," Grassley said while reading the resolution.

Representative Kauffman requested unanimous consent for immediate consideration of the resolution; the presiding officer found no objections and the resolution was approved by voice vote. A member moved adoption on the floor and the presiding officer announced, "the ayes do have it," adopting the measure.

The measure directs the chief clerk of the House to prepare an official copy of the resolution for presentation to Coach Keller and team members. The adoption was ceremonial; no amendment or roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.

The House recessed for party caucuses following the ceremony.
