Metro District seeks $300,000 appropriation and IGA amendment for Dad Clark Gulch channel stabilization

Project Engineer John Donakowski presented the Dad Clark Gulch 5.0W channel stabilization proposal, describing approximately 3,000 linear feet of channel restoration north of Wildcat and east of Summit View intended to prevent downstream degradation and reduce sediment impacts on water-quality infrastructure.
Donakowski asked the Board to appropriate $300,000 from the Stormwater Fund as the District’s share and to authorize an amendment to the existing Intergovernmental Agreement with Mile High Flood District for a $600,000 construction contract, with $300,000 funded by the Metro District. He told the Board that current site conditions do not threaten structures or pathways but that the work is timely to protect downstream facilities. Board members asked questions that Donakowski answered; Chairperson Anderson noted no objection to placing the item on the Jan. 27 consent agenda for formal Board action.
