Board outlines General Manager evaluation process; HR to distribute survey

Chairperson Renee Anderson led a discussion on the district’s annual General Manager evaluation process, saying several board members are participating for the first time and that the board plans to follow the format used the prior year.
Kristi Robinson, Director of Human Resources, said she will distribute an evaluation survey to board members along with General Manager Stephanie Stanley’s self-assessment and feedback from the GM’s direct reports. Robinson told the board direct-report feedback will be completed by next week and that the survey will be sent either before the end of the year or shortly after the first of the year depending on board preferences and holiday scheduling.
Robinson said board members will complete the evaluation individually and that items listed under each prompt are guidance rather than required separate responses; board members may indicate they do not have enough information to answer specific prompts. Once compiled, Robinson will provide results to Chairperson Anderson and staff anticipate discussing the evaluation during or after the January board meeting, likely in executive session.
