Pam Cunningham of the Solid Waste Department told the board the solid-waste board met Feb. 12, 2026, and approved removing the assessment and issuing refunds for tax years 2023 and 2024. Commissioner Riveland moved to grant the removal and refund; Commissioner Webb seconded and the motion passed 3-0. The board then voted to approve Order No. 2026-01 to implement the change with the Department of Revenue.
The minutes record the action, the tax-assessment code, and the years to be refunded; they do not include dollar amounts for the refunds. County staff will process the refunds and coordinate with the Department of Revenue under Order No. 2026-01.
