Nye said older units would be credit‑returned and that the new devices would be placed on the five ALS units with older units redeployed to engines as spares. He asked the board to approve the release of funds subject to township legal counsel cleaning up certain vendor contract language; the board approved the request and directed legal review. The motion recorded $99,382.20 to be released from expenditure line 97125; the funds had been previously approved in the 2026 budget hearings.
The fire chief and trustees emphasized the devices’ clinical advantages and asked legal counsel to negotiate acceptable vendor terms before final purchase.
