The Chippewa Hills School District Board of Education voted March 17 to award the secondary-site public-address (PA) contract to Moss and approved adding an external horn system.
Staff member Kyle Talicska told the board that four bids were received for the secondary-site PA project; all bids covered four zones, included hallway and classroom clocks and allowed future expansion. During discussion board members and staff noted the practical benefit of adding an external horn for outdoor classes, events or emergencies, and the board approved that amendment.
Amanda Cornell made the motion to approve Moss’s bid; Brenda Donley supported the motion to add the external horn. Members present—Sherry Anderson, Anthony Gibson, Amanda Cornell, Lionel MacKenzie, Brenda Donley and Brian Simon—voted yes; Julia Ezell was absent. The motion carried unanimously among present members, 6–0.
