Town engineer Nicole Crawford explained corrected spreadsheet errors and presented Amendment No. 3 to the VHB contract for the Milford Pedestrian and Traffic Improvement Project (state project 42470). Crawford said the corrected amendment total is $48,004.93 and the 20% local match is approximately $9,006.98. She said the amendment includes design of the South Street parking lot and an estimated local expenditure of $9,698.63 to be funded from account 4600‑46220‑573000.
“VHB can’t continue their design until their amendment is approved,” Crawford said, urging the board to act so work on the project can proceed. Selectman Mr. Dodji moved approval of Amendment No. 3; the motion was seconded and then carried by voice vote.
Board members asked whether the town’s match account would be sufficient to cover the obligation. Crawford said staff had earlier been told there was about $825,000 in the account raised through previous warrant articles and that the estimated local costs for the oval and parking lot would leave more than enough funds available for the match. The town administrator said the finance director would provide a more precise fund balance at the next meeting.
Outcome: motion to approve Amendment No. 3 carried; VHB may resume design work pending administrative follow‑up on account balances.
