Gregory Ryland, regional manager for Inframark, briefed the council on operations at the town’s water and wastewater treatment facilities. He said there were no confirmed regulatory excursions for March 2022, though final results were still pending. Ryland listed recent maintenance and upgrades at the water-treatment plant, including flushing of dead ends, installation of new sample pumps for filter #1 and settled water, and drives installed for high-service pumps to allow lower output when appropriate. At the wastewater treatment plant, chlorine regulators were replaced and sequencing batch reactor (SBR) equipment is expected in April with Underwood performing the installation. Ryland noted the influent wet well is monitored daily to determine pumping needs.
Council did not take any direct policy action on these operational updates during the meeting.
