Early Learning Center sets 90% proficiency goals in literacy, math and SEL for 2025–26

Matt Wyant, Early Learning Center building coordinator, presented the 2024–25 outcomes and 2025–26 goals to the board on Nov. 12.
Wyant reported spring 2025 outcome data showing 89% of students met or exceeded the literacy standard, 88% met or exceeded the math standard and 90% met or exceeded the SEL standard. He proposed 2025–26 goals of 90% proficiency in SEL, math and literacy and outlined action steps including continued CKLA Year 2 implementation for literacy, alignment with Danielson Criterion 1 for instruction, strengthened PLC practice to move from “PLC Lite” to “PLC Right,” and intentional scheduling to support interventions.
Wyant highlighted planned programming such as expanded summer programming, full enrollment targets, completion of a three‑year state rating, and CDH‑y (CDHY) training. He emphasized partnership with families and staff to nurture student learning and noted plans to review initial data through the PLC data cycle to identify effective practices.
The board received the Early Learning Center report as informational; no board action was recorded on the program goals during the meeting.
