The presenter said the trip cost is $625 per student based on 40 participants and that fundraising plans are in place; the presenter will provide a full itinerary to the committee and solicit teacher-chaperone participation.
The committee also approved a high-school trip on Dec. 9 to see a production of A Christmas Carol. The sponsor said the per-student cost is about $20 (transportation and ticket) and explained arrangements for wheelchair-accessible transport.
Committee members asked staff to supply a complete Washington, D.C. itinerary and to confirm teacher-chaperone availability; both motions passed.
