District update: organic pesticides cost about 25% more; fields not yet cleared for play

He noted that athletic fields were installed with sod to accelerate readiness but that several fields (including softball and a new soccer field) remained unplayable as crews verify sod establishment and reseed where necessary.
Board members asked whether other districts use organic products and whether any data exist on outcomes; Pisano said he did not have specific comparative data at the time but that the construction team would return to work to remobilize, reseed and check plantings. The board treated the presentation as informational; no policy vote was requested.
