Fond du Lac Council honors outgoing members Thomas Schisler and Antonio Godfrey

The Fond du Lac City Council on April 8 recognized council members Thomas Schisler and Antonio Godfrey for their service and presented each with a key to the city.
President Brault introduced the first presentation, calling out "city council member Thomas Schisler for years of service" and thanking him for bringing resident concerns to the council. "When there's an issue that a resident brings to you, you make sure that it's something that you deal with," Brault said as Schisler received a key.
Schisler thanked colleagues and staff, saying, "Had a great 4 years with all of you...Overall, I think it runs pretty smoothly," and praised city administrators for their work.
The council next recognized Antonio Godfrey. Brault said he admired Godfrey's perspective and availability to residents; Godfrey thanked his wife and colleagues and praised city staff. Godfrey told the council, "Trust me. I am not going anywhere. You can best believe that."
Miss Learing, who said she had completed her first term, added, "I just wanna say, I appreciate serving with Antonio and with, Tom," and noted both would be missed.
The council adjourned to celebrate the departing members.
