The Andalusia City Council voted April 7 to adopt Resolution 2026-05, a nuisance-abatement measure directing cleanup of four properties that did not comply with prior notices.
The mayor told the council that 14 properties were originally notified in the latest round and 10 had been cleaned up; the four remaining addresses named in the resolution were 127 Railroad Avenue, 129 Railroad Avenue, 521 Cotton Street and 401 6th Avenue. "If they don't, we can clean it up," the mayor said, adding that the cost would be placed on the property tax roll if owners do not reimburse the city.
Mister Boswell moved to adopt the resolution; the motion was seconded by Mister Mount and approved by voice vote. The resolution authorizes city staff to perform cleanup work and to recover costs as provided by the resolution.
The measure was presented as a compliance-enforcement action; no individual property owners spoke during the meeting and no appeals or legal challenges were raised on the record.
