Glynn County procurement analyst Nikki Thompson opened a public bid opening for IFB 26-030, the Beachview Drive sidewalk project, and read four contractor bids for the county to review.
Thompson said the county received four bids and emphasized that "the lowest responsive bid may not be the recommended awardee when the bid review process is complete." She said county procurement staff and the project manager will review all paperwork for accuracy and completeness before making a recommendation.
Thompson read the bidders and totals as follows: Curb and Gutter Professionals (Jessup, Ga.), $198,912; Georgia Highway Cable Barrier LLC (Conyers, Ga.), $156,546; Southeast Asphalt LLC (Blackshire, Ga.), $155,366; and Swindale Construction Company Inc. (Glenville, Ga.), $168,750.
A bid tabulation sheet will be posted on the county's procurement web page when available. After review, Thompson said the recommended award will go to the finance committee and then to the full Glynn County Board of Commissioners at its next scheduled monthly meeting.
