Dr. Tomacia, who presented the CalGETC overview, told trustees the pathway consolidates transfer requirements into an 11-course, 34-semester-unit package intended to make transfers to California State University and University of California campuses simpler. “AB 928 required the state of California to simplify all of those into one pathway,” the presenter said, summarizing the state change.
