The Cusseta–Chattahoochee County commission awarded the Friendship Road resurfacing contract to Oxford Construction after opening bids and reviewing tabulations prepared by SOWEGA Engineering.
Bids were received July 22, 2025: Oxford Construction submitted the low bid of $358,750 and Robinson/Scuggs Paving submitted $389,118.85. After SOWEGA’s review for completeness and compliance, Commissioner Damon Hoyte moved to accept Oxford’s bid; Commissioner Timothy Biddle seconded and the vote was unanimous.
The county will proceed with procurement documentation and contracting steps consistent with LMIG project requirements. SOWEGA Engineering’s recommendation and the bid tabulation were entered into the record at the meeting.
