Mary S. Alexander-Basta sworn in as mayor; trustees and clerk take oaths as Bolingbrook honors retiring trustee

The meeting also formally acknowledged and accepted the official canvass and proclamation of election results from the Will and DuPage county clerks. Trustee Bhavini K. Patel took the dais to fill the seat vacated by retiring Trustee Maria A. Zarate.
Earlier in the session Mayor Alexander-Basta presented retiring Trustee Maria A. Zarate with a crystal plaque and flowers in recognition of 12 years of service; Trustee Zarate offered remarks following the presentation.
