Ray Bradshaw unveils Eagle Project “Freedom Wall”; local veteran speaks on meaning of service

Ray Bradshaw opened the town’s board meeting night with an event celebrating his Eagle Scout project, a “Freedom Wall” installed on the town hall interior. He thanked family members and volunteers for donations and help in building the mural and said he was “very grateful for the opportunity” to make the wall a reality.
The chair invited guests to view the exhibit and troop members presented a color guard and led the Pledge of Allegiance before Bradshaw introduced veteran speaker Spencer Spencer. Spencer, identified in the meeting as a former U.S. Marine who served from 2000 to 2004, framed his remarks around the obligations and history of service. “Freedom’s never more than one generation away from extinction because it's not in our blood,” he said, urging the community to pass civic values to younger residents.
The event included scouts from Troop 911 and ended with refreshments in the foyer. Town leaders said the installation would be a permanent display in the town hall for residents to see when they visit. The board then transitioned to its regular agenda.
