A health‑department staff member introduced in roll call as Jericho told the council the town has been reenrolled in the state vaccine program and said planning for fall vaccine clinics will start earlier this year.
"We're reenrolled in the state vaccine program," Jericho said, adding that Erin, the public‑health nurse, is returning from maternity leave and will help with planning. Jericho noted some federal constraints remain on vaccine ordering and timing and said those rules will influence clinic schedules.
Jericho also reported the town health director plans to leave at the end of the month, said an interim period is expected and that a hiring process is underway to fill the position ahead of the fall vaccination season.
