ADMH Board approves agenda and minutes, schedules next meeting for Nov. 21

Vice Chair Donna Foster called the Alabama Department of Mental Health Board of Trustees to order at 10:00 a.m. on Aug. 15. After roll call, trustees moved to approve the meeting agenda and the May 16, 2025 minutes without correction.
Trustee Rodney Barnes moved to accept the agenda; Dave White seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Barnes made the motion to accept the May minutes; Dave White seconded and the minutes were accepted unanimously.
The board heard reports from the commissioner and divisional leaders on operations, legislative tracking, program initiatives and outreach. Trustee Dave White raised Rural Health Transformation language included in the 'One Big Beautiful Bill' (HR 1) and asked staff for information to follow up on related provisions.
The board set its next meeting for Nov. 21, 2025, and adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
