Milford ZBA forwards volunteer to selectmen and adjusts seating; elects vice chair

The Milford Zoning Board of Adjustment used the tail of its March 19 meeting to forward a volunteer’s name to the Board of Selectmen and to address internal seating and officer positions.
James Austin introduced himself and said he has lived in the area since 2015, owns several properties in Milford and has two school-aged children. The board voted to forward his application to the Board of Selectmen for potential appointment and asked him to attend the BOS interview if selected.
The board also handled internal business: members moved to seat Jim as a full voting member and to return Mike to an alternate position. The board agreed to confirm Joan as vice chair and reconfirmed Andrea Coco in the chair role. The board approved minutes for prior meetings (correcting an agenda date for Jan. 15) and confirmed the April 2 meeting as the next scheduled hearing at 6:00 p.m., then adjourned.
"I moved to forward Mr. Austin to the Board of Selectmen," a member said during the motion; the motion carried by voice vote. The board reminded the public that continued matters will be posted on the zoning-board agenda online.
