Councilor Jen McKenzie says she will not seek re-election

Councilor Jen McKenzie told the Merrimack Town Council on Feb. 26 that she will not seek re-election. McKenzie said she recently accepted a new job that requires more of her time and that it is appropriate to allow another resident the opportunity to serve.
"It was, of course, a very hard decision to make, and I certainly have loved my time on the town council," she said, adding she may consider running again in the future but for now will step back and remain involved in town activities where possible. Councilors thanked her for her service.
McKenzie also announced upcoming outreach dates for councilor conversations and voter registration assistance events.
