Warsaw Community Public Library previews summer programs and national Holocaust traveling exhibit

Heather Baron, director of the Warsaw Community Public Library, presented a statistical update and a schedule of upcoming programs, including a traveling Holocaust exhibit the library will host from June 20 through July 24 and a speaking event featuring survivor Irene Miller on June 23 at 6 p.m.
Baron said the library recorded more than 115,000 visits last year, that cardholders saved an estimated $10,000,000 in value by borrowing physical and digital items, and that nearly 83,000 sessions used the library Wi-Fi. She described expanded services such as "library of things" checkouts (home radon detectors, microphones, adventure backpacks), experience passes to regional museums and a string of events tied to the Holocaust exhibit, including a panel and a community book read.
Baron credited volunteers and local partners for supporting research and programming and said the exhibit is expected to draw visitors from across the region. Commissioners thanked Baron for the report and had no objections.
The library's exhibit dates and program schedule were presented as part of the library's regular update; commissioners did not take formal action beyond accepting the report.
