"You allowed the security supervisors to harass me," Villa said, adding that the district promoted people she accused of harassing staff and students. She said she had tried to return in limited capacities — as an instructional aide — but was blocked from helping students and that mandated reporting and "see something, say something" had not protected those who came forward. "It's not worth it," Villa said, addressing others who might report wrongdoing.
Villa said she did not file a lawsuit because she did not want "anything to be taken away from the kids," and she urged members of the public to protect themselves by avoiding the process she described. The board's public comment procedure was followed (speakers were asked to state name and city); the record shows the board accepted Villa's remarks and then proceeded to the consent agenda and administrative reports without a public response to the allegations.
The statements in public comment were presented by Villa as personal experience and allegations. The board did not take any immediate formal action on the allegations at the Jan. 22 meeting; no district staff response to the claims appears on the meeting record.
