Planning Commission recommends approval for temporary fireworks tent permit

Planner Adam Young said an application was submitted by Ali Luaibi of Captain’s Party Store for a 20-by-40-foot tent to sell fireworks from June 15 through July 5. Under the township code the Clerk forwards such applications to the Planning Commission to determine consistency with permitted uses; the commission’s role is advisory.
Member Amanda Oparka moved and Member Mike Viazanko supported a recommendation of approval to the Township Clerk. The motion carried.
No conditions or vote tallies were recorded in the minutes beyond the statement that the motion carried; the file will return to the Clerk for administrative processing.
