The Harrison Township Board on Feb. 24 approved several routine reappointments and a contested lot-split appeal.
The Board reappointed Jim and Sue Keehn, Herb Lorentz, Dianne Marvaso, Mona Romero and Carole Wolf to the Beautification Commission for two-year terms ending April 10, 2027. It also reappointed Michael Viazanko, Brian Batkins and Joseph Maples to the Building Board of Appeals for three-year terms ending Feb. 15, 2028. Motions to reappoint were approved by the Board.
The Board also reconsidered a lot split request for 41285 Belvidere that had previously been denied and tabled on Jan. 27, 2025. Trustee David Bratto moved and Trustee Dean Olgiati seconded approval of the lot split with the condition that the structure on lot 139 will not create a side-yard variance on lot 138; the motion carried.
During public comment, resident C. William Bardill spoke about several items and Trustee Brian Batkins commented on work by the Public Works Commissioner. The Board adjourned at 9:52 p.m.
