Jefferson Elementary Board unanimously approves tentative AFT 3267 agreement with multi-step wage increases

The Jefferson Elementary School District board introduced and unanimously approved a tentative agreement with AFT Local 3267 for the 2025-26 school year.
The agreement, described in the board packet and read aloud at the meeting, includes a two-part wage increase: 2% on the salary schedule effective July 1, 2025; 1% effective Jan. 1, 2026; and additional salary-schedule adjustments effective July 1, 2026. The tentative agreement also covers negotiated items in Article 2 (wages), Article 6 (health and welfare), Article 9 (safety) and Article 10 (class size) as specified in the document presented to trustees.
Board members thanked the district and union negotiating teams for reaching a collaborative settlement. The board moved to approve the tentative agreement; the motion passed unanimously. The district noted the agreement remains subject to AB 1200 approval by the San Mateo County Office of Education and final ratification by the bargaining unit.
