The Village of Lake Odessa Village Council unanimously approved an employment agreement with Mark Borden for the position of village manager during its Feb. 2 special meeting.
President Karen Banks reviewed the terms of the agreement and noted discussion of an auto-allowance provision while council members considered the motion. Trustee Bob Green moved to approve the contract, and Trustee Ben DeJong supported the motion.
Banks called for a roll-call vote. Voting yes were Green, DeJong, Mike Brighton, Neena Rush, Martha Yoder and Banks; Trustee Roy Halfmann was absent. The motion carried 6-0.
