Staff reports: ice-fishing turnout and GFOA financial reporting award

Miss Hardy reported to the council that the recent ice-fishing contest drew about "300 or 350 people" and raised $16,400 with partnership assistance from the Lions Club. "They appreciated the partnership and assistance from the Lions Club who helped them out this year, and they raised $16,400," she said.
Miss Hardy also announced that the city received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association — the eighteenth consecutive year the city has received the honor — and thanked the assistant city manager and finance staff for their work.
The report was received by the council; no formal action was taken.
