The Plymouth Select Board appointed Kevin Pierce as the towns new emergency management director and approved several commission reappointments during its meeting.
A board member read a letter addressed to the state field representative at the New Hampshire Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management informing the agency that the town hired Kevin Pierce as its emergency management director with a projected start date of April 1, 2026; a complementary appointment for a deputy director (Dan Doucette, as described in the packet) was also presented. A motion to appoint Kevin and to appoint the deputy was made and seconded; the board approved both appointments by voice vote.
The board also reappointed John Lappe to the Plymouth Energy Commission; the Energy Commission had recommended his reappointment. In addition, Joan Turley, Melissa Ullery and Mike Mosley were reappointed to the Plymouth Conservation Commission after the board reviewed letters and confirmation of the commissions recommendations. Mike Mosleys move from alternate to full member fills a vacancy on the conservation commission.
All appointment and reappointment motions were approved by voice vote. The board asked staff to forward the signed letters and to provide contact information to state offices as required.
