The Victoria City Council approved a revised 2026 fee schedule and a companion resolution authorizing publication by title and summary after an explanatory presentation from Assistant City Manager Alyssa Nelson.
Nelson (S8) said the fee schedule is an annual ordinance amendment and noted a small technical correction not included in the packet: youth membership was set at "up to 18," adult at "19 and older," leaving a gap for age 18; staff proposed correcting that overlap. She also summarized the criteria staff uses when reviewing fees, including market comparisons, externally set maximums (for items governed by codes), cost recovery and utilities-based rate studies.
"This is an annual process that requires an ordinance amendment," Nelson said, noting staff redlined the fee schedule in the packet and provided explanations for each change.
Council opened the public hearing and, receiving no public comments, took two motions: adoption of the ordinance revising the fee schedule (moved by Reif (S3)) and a resolution authorizing publication by title and summary (moved and seconded). Both passed on voice votes.
What happens next: Staff will publish the ordinance summary per the council’s direction and update fee schedules in administrative systems.
