The Branchburg Township School District recognized Keith Labadee as its Educational Services Professional of the Year, praising his work connecting with students and building trust across the school.
A presenter at the meeting said students described Labadee’s impact in simple terms: “he has been there for all of my problems, and I actually feel comfortable sharing those things with him,” and “he cheers me up.” The presenter noted Labadee greets students by name, coaches a softball team and supports schoolwide initiatives, calling his daily presence a strength for school climate.
The recognition was made as part of the district’s regular meeting, and recipients were asked to come forward afterward for a photograph and brief recess. The board did not take formal action related to the award beyond public recognition.
The board named Keith Labadee as this year’s honoree and thanked staff and students who contributed testimonials.
