Warner adopts town land‑sale policy and declines DOT parcel offer

Separately, the board considered a Department of Transportation offer to sell Map 28, Lot 33 (roughly 0.3 acres) to the town for $10,000 (board members noted additional surveying and recording costs and suggested the true out‑the‑door price could be closer to $11,000). Seidel moved that the town decline the DOT offer so DOT can offer the parcel to the rail‑trail group; the board approved the motion on a roll‑call vote. Seidel said the parcel is a narrow gully strip with limited use that the rail‑trail organization intends to buy for trail access.
Seidel said the new land‑sale policy will guide any future sales and can be revised by future boards as needed.
