During discussion members noted two unassigned administrative positions, resignations and the need to reassign administrators after the announced elementary-school closures. Superintendent Bullard explained the draft fiscal note and said administrative staffing is included in the proposed budget; she warned that placement adjustments will affect contract days and pay but emphasized the need to keep schools led and supported during transitions.
The motion passed with two trustees opposed. Administration will proceed to issue contract offers and bring assignment details back to the board as they are finalized.
The vote will allow human resources and the superintendent to proceed with offering contracts and managing placements before the district—inalizes teacher contracts at the special meeting scheduled for April 10.
