Officer Lonnie Gibson, a State Excise Police officer and board member who presided over the session, identified the board members present and swore in applicants before the board moved to business. "Let the record reflect there's not," Gibson said when he asked whether anyone in attendance wished to remonstrate against items on the agenda.
A board member moved to approve the renewal for CH1630180, which Gibson described as an "automatic renewal" because there were no recorded violations. The motion carried after the board recorded ayes.
The board then considered a new 209 permit application (RR1643463) for The Union Bar and Grill LLC, a restaurant with a bar located at 13 B Southwest Wren Parkway in Greensburg. When the board asked who was on the permit, the applicants identified themselves as "Neil and Sarah." The applicants told the board they have operated the restaurant for several years and that this would be their first alcoholic-beverage permit for the location; they said they were seeking full-time alcohol service and that the operation already included a bar area.
A board member moved to approve the new permit and another board member seconded; the board recorded ayes and the motion passed. Gibson explained administrative steps after approval, saying permits typically become active within about two business days after commission action and that applicants should contact their wholesaler once the permit number is available. He also noted the printed permit is mailed and that the permit can be used before the mailed copy arrives for up to about 15 days.
Gibson instructed the applicants to submit photographs showing the required separation around the bar area, advising that walls may be used as part of the separation and that multiple 5-foot openings are acceptable; he discussed pull-tab arrangements in the context of the separation requirements.
