President Myra Ceballos opened hearings on memoranda of understanding and tentative agreements. The board considered a memorandum of understanding with the San Bernardino Teachers Association to provide a 5% base salary increase effective July 1, 2025, for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The district opened the hearing, invited public comment and, finding none (or receiving acknowledgement from bargaining representatives), moved and adopted the agreement by roll-call vote.
The board also opened and adopted a tentative agreement reopener with Communication Workers of America Local 9588 and a successor tentative agreement with the San Bernardino School Police Officers Association covering Article 6 (wages — 5% increase) and Article 9 (hours). Each item was moved and seconded and passed during the meeting.
The board recorded motions, seconders and aye votes across the roll calls; several trustees individually voiced aye on the record during each vote.
What happens next: These agreements will be implemented according to their terms (salary effective dates as described) and will be reflected in payroll and budget updates. The district will return any required documentation to the board and post ratified agreements per district practice.
