At its March meeting the Mountain View School District board approved a set of routine resolutions and multiple consent items, and moved forward with labor and business matters.
Resolutions: The board approved resolutions recognizing National Nutrition Month, Arts Education Month, Social Work Month and Women's History Month. Board members highlighted the nutrition services team's work, thanked arts educators and social workers and referenced ongoing programs supporting students. Votes on the grouped items carried by roll call (5–0).
CSEA tentative agreement and public hearing: The board opened a public disclosure hearing on the tentative agreement between the district and the California School Employees Association (Charles T. Krantz chapter 430). Past chapter president Isaac Trujillo praised the negotiation process and asked for approval; the hearing closed without contest and related contract items moved forward on the agenda.
Consent and business items: The board approved educational services consent items and the business services second interim report for 2025–26. Superintendent's staff noted an upcoming bond-rating call intended to lower the bond rate and produce savings for the district. All routine consent and business items on the agenda passed by recorded roll-call votes.
Why it matters: These votes formalize routine recognitions, approve standard consent items required for district operations and confirm labor agreements and financial reports that inform budget and operational planning.
